in this Privacy Statement.
Collection and Use of Information
We do not use "cookies" to gather information during
your visit. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that transfer
to your computer's hard drive through your web browser to
enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide
features. The web server that hosts the ACJC site does gather
certain information about your visit automatically in a standard
log file. This information never identifies you personally
and consists of the following items only:
- The Internet domain from which you access the website
(for example, "yourcompany.com" if you use a private
Internet access account, or "yourschool.edu" if
you connect from a university's domain);
- The IP address from which you access the website (an IP
address is a number that is automatically assigned to your
computer whenever you are surfing the web); and
- The date and time of your visit to our site.
This information is used to gather statistics about the amount
and use the site receives. Again, we do not automatically
record information about you as an individual and this information
is not shared, sold or otherwise disseminated by ACJC.

phone number and e-mail address by using our Contact Us and
Feedback sections, subscribing to our e-mail updates or by
sending us e-mail. You can choose not to provide certain information,
but some is required in order to utilize the functionality
of the site. We do not share, sell or otherwise disseminate
this informationwe use the information you provide for
the sole purposes of responding to your requests, customizing
future visits, improving our site, and communicating with
you. We do not create an individual profile with the information
you provide or give it to any private organizations; and ACJC
does not collect information for commercial marketing. Any
comments collected are themselves subject to the protections
of the privacy policy.
Information Collected from Children:
Though the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission does not specifically
request information from children, as a state agency we comply
with the Children's Online Privacy Policy Protection Act of
1998 (COPPA), requiring parental consent before we collect
any personal information from an individual under the age
of 13. The text of COPPA is available at www.ftc.gov/ogc/coppa1.htm.
Security
ACJC and its consultants have taken several steps to safeguard
the integrity of its computer systems and networks. These
steps include, but are not limited to, individual authentification,
the security of transmitted data, and security monitoring.
Security methods and measures have been integrated into the
design, implementation and day-to-day practices of the entire
ACJC website.

The ACJC web pages contain links to various other web sites
operated by other government agencies, nonprofit organizations,
and in some cases private businesses. When you link to another
site, you are no longer on the ACJC site and this Privacy
Statement will not apply to other sites. When you link to
another site, you are subject to the privacy policy of that
new site. Links to outside web sites are offered solely for
your convenience. ACJC is not responsible for, or has control
over, the policies or content of third-party sites.
Neither the State of Arizona, ACJC, officer, employee or
